GLB · glTF(+.bin) · OBJ · STL · PLY · FBX — parsed locally

100%

Open any Wavefront .obj file and inspect it under studio light — geometry is parsed right in this tab.

01 — Local

Parsing and rendering happen entirely in this tab. Your file is never uploaded to a server.

02 — PBR

Studio lighting with real environment reflections, orbit, zoom and frame-to-fit. Animation clips play back when present.

03 — Stats

Mesh count and triangle totals are reported on load, with geometry rendered under studio lighting whether or not a .mtl ships with it.

Questions people ask

What exactly is inside an OBJ file?
Plain-text vertex positions, normals and UV coordinates. Materials live in a companion .mtl file; this viewer reads the geometry from the .obj itself and shows it under studio lighting. OBJ carries no animation by design.
Can I convert OBJ to GLB?
Yes, locally and free: geometry, normals and UVs carry across into GLB. Plain OBJ has no PBR material definitions, so expect default material slots in the result.
Why do old meshes keep arriving as OBJ?
OBJ is the oldest widely-shared mesh format and nearly every 3D tool ever made can write it. It remains the safest interchange format when you do not know what the receiving tool supports.
